Shocking outcome showed by WWF Report

In the last 40 years, the Greater Mekong  lost one-third of forest cover. This is shown by a new and shocking report by WWF, that analyzed the deforestation using satellite data. They come with two future scenario’s for 2030, the one focusing on unsustainable growth (continuing of the deforestation as it is now), the other on green economy growth (50% less deforestation).
The picture below shows the forest cover from 1973 to 2009.
